De-growth an opportunity to remake our economy – a mainstream media article

Much, even most, of our economic activities – from eating doughnuts to building car-dominated cities – lie on a continuum between useless and destructive. Therein lies an opportunity. Not only would we be happier and healthier if we gave up these activities, pursuing “de-growth” instead of mindless economic growth would free up resources needed to shape a sustainable economy.
