Foreign Policy in Focus (FPIP), Washington, 10 December 2013

When 30 climate protesters from 18 countries protested drilling at an Arctic oil platform operated by Gazprom, they represented the people of the world taking a symbolic stand against climate destruction, the corporate climate destroyers, and the governments that back them. Jeremy Brecher has called for a new non-violent global insurgency to stop climate change. You can read the short version of his argument here and the full report here (PDF).
