“Degrowth” Advocate to Be Earth Day Keynote Speaker April 22 in Belfast ME

Earth Days Waldo County 2015 will host Jim Merkel for “Degrowth: Can Society Survive Without Growth?,” a talk at Belfast Free Library, 106 High Street, at 6:30 p.m. on Earth Day, Thursday, April 22.

Merkel, author of the book “Radical Simplicity,” will discuss the potential benefits of reduced consumption for both the health of the environment and the well-being of ordinary people.
