China and (de)growth

An interesting article re China with implications for degrowth. I don’t pretend to have absorbed or even believe all of what Escobar presents but this strikes me as important information.

    Hi Bob. Great article. Thanks for catching this one. I think a pretty good assessment of the potential economic & growth implications AP region of these developments. A Pakistani friend of mine said there are already various ongoing developments in the region tied to China. Unfortunately for nature and people this does not represent a pathway to reduce consumption, wasting of resources, and further potential harm to nature. Typical of the corporate/political plan/agenda. At the very least a sustainable plan would be better.
